   A Bride's interview with Your Big Day (YBD)

Bride: How long have you been doing this? How did you decide you wanted to become a wedding planner?
YBD: We have 10 years of event planning experience. Ingrid received her planning background in the corporate setting, and Joycelyn’s experience was gained working in television production. With our professional backgrounds friends and family were always requesting assistance with planning their events especially weddings. After many years of being the “unofficial” wedding planners we decided to turn our passion into our profession.

I love your services and your portfolio; can you tell me what sets you apart from all other planners?
YBD: There are two of us. This allows us to combine the skills that we have mastered individually to ensure that your big day goes off without a hitch. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses our partnership allows us to function within our strengths at all times. It’s like getting two planners for the price of one.

Bride: This all sounds so wonderful! Are we going to be able to afford your service?
YBD: We offer packages & service options that fit every budget making a stress-free wedding day affordable to everyone.

Bride: Who do you work best with? Who is not going to benefit from your service?
YBD: We work best with couples that recognize the time, energy, and skill that goes into planning a wedding filled with everlasting memories for the bride, groom, and their invited guest. The couple would also have to feel fully confident in the fact that we have their best interest in mind and any advice or etiquette assistance provided is in their best interest.

A couple, who would NOT benefit, views our services as an option and not a necessity. They feel that the insight that we have from working within the wedding & event industry for the past 10 years is something that they can live without.

Bride: Will I lose control of my wedding if you’re planning it for me?
YBD: Absolutely not! You are gaining the confidence that your vision will be implemented with proper etiquette, attention to detail, and excellent budget management.

Bride: Will you work with the wedding professionals I have found or people I really want to work with?
YBD: Yes! We always welcome the opportunity to work with quality professionals new & old.

Bride: Do you take Credit Cards? Do you have a payment plan?
YBD: Yes, we currently take credit cards via PayPal. We work with our couples to establish a payment program that works well for everyone.

Bride: Do you book more then one wedding per day?
YBD: At this time we do not.

Bride: This sounds like everything we have been looking for! What do we do next to start the process?
YBD: The next step would be to schedule a meeting to begin brainstorming the details of your day. You will be required to submit your deposit to secure your date at this meeting.

Ingrid has had a passion for planning and entertaining since she was a young girl creating tea parties for her dolls. As an adult she has been able to obtain over 5 years of event planning experience for various large companies. Ingrid finds great joy in taking classes and studying to improve her passion for planning so that she can ensure that her clients have the best experience.
